It’s been a couple months since posting last, thanks to work, and too much reddit. Politics is something of an addiction of mine, and I want to avoid bringing it here. The plan for bringing an s6-init FreeBSD into existence has taken a bit of a back seat to multiple family obligations and ongoing DevOps work at the office, but the latter has at least led to a new benefit I’ll be dropping into the Technistry section soon: a full set of packer scripts for generating ZFS-enabled FreeBSD AMIs, to play with.
Update 15 Jul 2018: Packer scripts done! Progress is slow, but real. See Technistry section or the github repo for more.
